Son of Abraham Marsh and Hannah Houlm/Hulme, he married Elizabeth Baird, Feb 3, 1824, Ohio County, Virginia, before West Virginia statehood.

Abraham 80 appears on the 1870 census, Wheeling, with his wife Elizabeth 74 and their married son Thomas 39, his wife Catherine 40, Luintellas 16, Laura 13, Catherine 10, Ann E 7 and Harry 4.

The Daily Intelligencer reported his death, stating he was perhaps the oldest man in the city and a soldier in the War of 1812.

His brother Ralph Marsh is memorial 179390153.
