Born Saturday, August 15, 1925, in Coldwater, MI, he was a
Son Of the late
Albert Ray
and
Rosa Cora (Grindle) Bauder.
Ray was a United States Army Veteran, serving his country during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He retired after working for 25 years as a factory worker and a state safety inspector.
He was preceded by his
parents:
Albert Ray Bauder
and
Rosa Cora Bauder; his
Wife:
Grace Marguerite (Haney) Bauder; and his
Son:
Gary Lee Bauder.
Survivors include his

Additions/corrections welcome .. Della 7-22-2021Ray O. Bauder Jr., age 85, of Ezel, Ky., and formerly of Sturgis, Mich., passed away after a long illness on Friday, July 29, 2011, at the Wolfe County Health Care Center in Campton, Ky.
He was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Quincy, Mich., a son of the late Albert Ray and Rosa Cora (Grindle) Bauder.
On June 12, 1948, in LaGrange, Ind., he married Grace Marguerite Haney.
Ray had been employed as a punch press operator, delivered ice and he worked at Economy Market and Grumman-Olson where he retired. He enjoyed building bird houses, taking pictures, and making tapes.
Ray was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Philippines during World War II.
Surviving are his loving companion, Jean Rothwell of Ezel, Ky.; one daughter, Marinda Kay Bauder Tullos of Sturgis, Mich.; cousin, Mildred Stevens; one nephew, Mike Bauder of Howe, Ind.; one niece, Alma Dorris of LaGrange, Ind.; one great nephew, Dale Dorris and wife Laura; five great-nieces and nephews, Steven Dorris, Kristin Dorris, Andrew Dorris, Daniel Dorris, and Emily Dorris; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Bauder of Three Rivers, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Grace Marguerite Haney Bauder; and one son, Gary Lee Bauder; brothers, Royden and George Bauder; sisters, Myrtle Barker and Matilda Spencer.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, at the Hackman Family Funeral Home – Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Funeral Services celebrating the life of Ray O. Bauder will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Mr. Larry Wallman officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Capt. John J. Kelley V.F.W. Post #1355.
