Mrs. Rose Williams Reeves, daughter of the late Mr. William Barnett Scott and Mrs. Josephine Scott Scott was born January 7, 1900 in Green County and departed this life at 6 p.m. Monday, March 30, 1981 in the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was 81 years, 2 months and 23 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church at the time of her death.

She united in marriage to Mr. Robert I Reeves November 13, 1927 and he preceded her in death February 13, 1969. Mrs. Reeves is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Effie Henderson, Greensburg; Mrs. Beatrice Reeves, Louisville and Mrs. Louise Larimore of Buffalo.
The remains were in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home were funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 1981 in the Summersville Baptist Church with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Rev. Irvin Milby Jr. officiated.
Pallbearers were Scotty Larimore, Bobby Wood Larimore, David Larimore, William Henderson, Ray Reeves, Roger Reeves and Ed Reeves.
