PARK HILLS — Richard Carl Blackwell-- On July 21, 2011 at 9:05 p.m. a soldier went home. He gave his final salute, bowed his head, took the Lord's hand and went to his final reward. This quiet, gentle, loving man left a legacy: his daughter, Mary Louise (Phillip) Edward, granddaughter, Brittany Michelle Franklin, grandson, Triston Carl Blackwell and a daughter he called his own, Mandy Lowrie. Also survived by a brother, Walter (Lana) Blackwell and sister, Peggy (Tommy) Tedder.
He was preceded into heaven by his parents, William and Gertrude Blackwell; brothers; David, Leroy and Stanley Blackwell and sister Carol Glore.
Visitation Will be Saturday July 23, 2011 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Coplin Funeral Home, Park Hills, MO. VFW Service will be at 5:00 p.m.. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be at 6:30 P.M. in the Hillview Cemetery, Farmington, Mo.
