Walter A. Bienz od Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at The TowneHouse Retirement Community. He was born on March 16, 1927, in Fort Wayne. He retired as a Chief Financial Officer from Auburn Foundry, Auburn. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where he held numerous offices; and the IU Alumni Association. Surviving are his wife Martha J.; daughters, Tammy (Tom) Jones of Fort Wayne and Sandy (Tony) Feichter of Albion; sons Doug Bienz of Fort Wayne and Mark (Jean Berning) Bienz of Angola; and eight grandchildren. He was proceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Feichter and brother, Edward Bienz. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Mark Neubacher officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Private burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
