Passed away Tuesday, March 24, 1992, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born January 21,1907, in Lawton the son of John and Margaret (McKenzie) Cummings. In 1941, Jack bought an eighty-acre fruit farm in Porter Twp., to which he added acreage and farmed for over forty years. Not having had any experience but being innovative and able to adapt to new ideas for better machinery, his farm became productive and highly successful. Jack was a life member of the Michigan Horticulture Society. On November 9,1940, he was united in marriage to the former Margaret G. Swantz, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters and spouses, Margot and Sergay Poboraki of Whitmore Lake, MI and Valarie and George Opdyke of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Janice Moran of Alliance, NB; 2 nephews, Richard and James Wragg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Wragg and a brother, Donald Cummings. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2pm Friday when a service will be held at
