He worshiped as a member of First Christian Church of Marion Illinois.

Robert L. "Roy" Adams passed away 5 November 1965 at a hospital in Marion Illinois. One brother predeceased him.

Reverend Henry Clay Wright, and Reverend Bruce Patton, led the services held at Wilson funeral home in Marion Illinois. Interment took place at Rose Hill cemetery.
