Winfield Scott Ball was not Anna Eliza Powers Ball ('s) son his mother is unknown (,) whom passed away in either Kentucky or Tennessee. You can see that the father Lemuel Morris Ball and Anna Eliza Powers got married at a later date than the birth of Winfield Scott birth. Anna would not let Winfield live in Lemuel's and her home as he was not her child he lived mostly in Texas with his uncle (Brother to Lemuel) cousins and some 1/2 siblings.
