Mr. Logan was born May 24, 1908, in Newark, N.J., the son of James F. and Emma Rice Logan. He married Matilda Mastroianni on June 26, 1937, in Waterbury.
Mr. Logan retired on Nov. 26, 1974, from the H.R. Hillery Sheet Metal Co., Groton. He had worked there for many years, retiring as a shop foreman. He was the former owner of the T & L Sheet Metal Co., New London.
He was a member and past president of the Building Trades Council, New London, a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Groton, where he had served as an usher for many years. He was also very instrumental in the Building Fund Committees of both the Sacred Heart Church and the St. Bernard's High School. Mr. Logan was involved with the CYO programs at the church for many years.
He was also a life member of the Pioneer House Company, Groton, where he had served for years as a captain of the Fire Police in Groton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter of Highland Park, Ill.; a son of Waterford; a brother and sister of Toms River, N.J. and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Colonel Ledyard Cemetery.
