Graveside services for Roy Jennings Bradford, 92, of Tuttle, were held at 11am Monday, Nov 22, at Fairview cemetery in Tuttle. Rev Donald Soard officiated.


He was born, the son of Albert Reason & Margarite Elizabeth (Roberts) Bradford, on 12/1/1906 in the Washington, OK area. He died Nov 19 at the Tuttle Care Center. Roy's mother died when he was 4 years old. He grew up on the farm with his dad, sister, & brothers. When his sister & brothers married, Roy stayed with his father and farmed, raised cattle, and hunted in the area east of Norman and Oklahoma City. He also worked some in the oil fields. He met and later married Syble Strombolt on 11/10/1945. They made their home in Oklahoma City, where he operated a taxi cab for several years and raised daughter, Donna Brown. Roy also worked for Folding Carrier Mfg. Plant in Oklahoma City, where they manufactured grocery carts. Roy moved to the Tuttle Care Center after his wife passed away 10/3/1986. He was preceded in death by his wife, Syble, his parents, his sister, Emily Virginia (Bradford) Hill, brothers, Rex O. Bradford & Ray Bradford, and an infant, and son-in-law, Dennis Brown.


Survivors include his daughter, Donna Brown of Lamar, Ark, grandchildren, Mark & Peter Brown, Patti Sloan, and Lorri Higbee, and 7 step-grandchildren. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle.
