Mrs. Lakey Passes Away
Daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C.P. Boyce of this city died in Kansas City and her body is being brought here for burial.
Mrs. Edgar Lakey, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C.P. Boyce died Friday at Kansas City, Missouri and her body arrived here for burial this morning. Funeral services will be held from the residence, 227 North Fifth Street, tomorrow afternoon with internment in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Bertha Boyce was born in Coldwater, Kansas in May 1889. She was married August 5, 1913 to Edgar Lakey, at the family home at Sandusky. He survives her together with three children. Other survivors besides the husband and children are the father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. C.P. Boyce of 227 North Fifth Street, Keokuk, two brothers, W.A. Boyce of Keokuk and H.L. Boyce of Pharr, Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Laura E. Philp of Montrose.
Mrs Lakey was a member of the Christian Church.
