William Flaherty was born circa 1854 in Pennsylvania
Anna Flaherty was born circa 1856 in Pennsylvania
Michael A Flaherty was born circa 1861 in Pennsylvania
Joseph Henry Flaherty was born circa 1863 in Pennsylvania. He died on 14 February 1886 in Philadelphia.

Mary Flaherty was about 96 when she died. Mary's death certificate asserts that her father is Michael Foley and her mother is Mary Foley. The informant was the undertaker and not a family member. It is more likely that the Bridget Foley on the memorial stone is her mother. Bridget was born about 1799 while Mary was born circa 1822. Mary's death certificate also asserts she was born in 1843, again the undertaker was the informant. The address on the death certificate matches Mary's address from the city directory. Based on all the evidence Mary was born circa 1822.

She spent most of her life residing at 267 S 21st Street, Philadelphia with her son Francis aks Frank. After her husband, Patrick died Mary and Frank moved to 263 S 4th St, Philadelphia. Sometime during 1916-17 Mary and Frank moved to 415 S Croskey, Philadelphia where they both died. Frank on 31 December 1917 and Mary less than a month later on 20 January 1918.

After her death, the following was in the newspaper.
Mary Flaherty, of 415 S Croskey Street, bequeathed $300 apiece to St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. St. Joseph's Convent, St. Joseph's House for Boys and La Salle College. The residue of the estate, worth $8034, goes to relatives
