Mrs. J. J. Hennen, a well-known & respected resident of Synnes township, passed away on Thursday of last week. Mrs. Hennen had been ill for about 2 weeks prior to her death which occurred at the Graceville hospital.
Anna Van Uden was born Jan. 6, 1879 in Arnheim, Holland. When she was 14 years old, she came to the U. S. & lived at Ghent, MN until 1898. For 2 years she lived in Minneota & from there to Marshall, MN, where she resided for 18 years. Mrs. Hennen had lived in Stevens Co. since 1919. She was married to J. J. Hennen on Mar. 23, 1898. Mrs. Hennen was a member of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Hennen is survived by her husband; 5 daughters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Hollywood, CA., Mrs. John Buckley of Alberta, & Mrs. Joseph Roles & Marie & Jane Hennen of Morris; 10 sons, Arnold Hennen of Herman, George Hennen of Hollywood, CA., Theodore Hennen of Chicago, John, Joseph, Leo, Raymond & Robert of Morris & Hubert Hennen of Minneapolis; 17 grandchildren & 3 sisters, Mrs. Theodore Sanders of Zenith, N.D., Mrs. A Huisenfeldt & Mrs. Leo Hennen of Ghent & 4 brothers, Henry Van Uden of Geddes, S.D., John Van Uden of Wallace, Idaho, Anton Van Uden of Ghent & Herman Van Uden of Marshall. One son preceded Mrs. Hennen in death.
