Mr. Brown was a local businessman in Jasper, Alabama and owner of Brown Lumber Company. He built numerous houses in the Farmstead and East Jasper areas. He loved playing golf and was a member of the Lion’s Club and the Jasper Coffee Table group.
He was very active at the First Baptist Church where Mr. Brown served as a Deacon and Mrs. Brown led Sunday School classes. In addition, they both sang in the church choir for many years. They also were devoted followers of the Walker College Rebel Basketball team and attended all home games until they were no longer able to do so. Mr. Brown was the father of four children, Janet, Judy, O.H. and Joan.
