Beverly Sarah Jones (Morgan), of Santa Barbara, CA, passed away on July 22, 2011.

She was born October 2, 1924 in Murray, Utah, the youngest of eight children of Fred and Jane McKinnon Morgan. Beverly, known affectionately to family and friends as "Bubba", graduated from Murray High School in 1942.

She married Richard Lee Jones in 1945. Together they lived in Berkeley, CA, Cambridge, MA, Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, and Fresno, CA.

In the 1960's, she returned to college, graduating in 1973 with a Masters in Social Work from California State University Fresno.

After raising three children, she enjoyed a full career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, most notably at Fresno Community Hospital from 1973 through 1989 and continuing in private practice after her semi-retirement.

Beverly was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, a wonderful cook and a gracious hostess. She spoke often of the pleasure she gained throughout her career helping other people. She maintained lifelong friendships and traveled widely, particularly enjoying CSUF theatre tours to London with what she called the "Theatre Crowd".

She loved the Salt Lake City area and through strong family ties always considered it home. In 1996, she moved to Santa Barbara to be close to her family, enjoying frequent visits from her grandchildren, Adam (Yolanda) and Tia Yox, Sarah and Julia Aidnik, and great-grandson Ascher Yox.

She is survived by her son Rich ard Morgan Jones (Claire) of Los Angeles, daughters Nancy Yox (Tim) and Catherine Jones-Aidnik (David) of Santa Barbara.

We miss her loving presence, generous spirit, and sharp wit.

Funeral Services will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary Chapel, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, Utah, on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Viewing immediately before from 12:00-12:45 p.m.
Interment at the Murray City Cemetery.
