Pfc. Allred Is Killed In Action, Wyman Informed

Columbus Junction — Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Allred of Wayland received a telegram February 10 from the War Department which said that their youngest son, Pfc. Harold Allred, had been killed in action on the island of Luzon on January 19, 1945. Pfc. Allred was a nephew of Mrs. Verne Boulton of Columbus City. Mrs. Boulton and her daughters, Flora and Patricia, and Mrs. Florence Boulton and Miss Esther Boulton spent a day last week with Mr. and Mrs. Allred at Wayland.

ALLRED — Wayland — Last rites were held at Wayland Tuesday for Harold A. Allred, son of William and Lillie Neff Allred, who was killed in the Phillipine Islands on January 24, 1945. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery.
