Born in Brooklyn, NY, on Sunday, April 5, 1925, son of the late William Christopher Kienzle (1891–1961) and Mary Bodkin Kienzle (1903–1970); husband of Frances Anne Clement Kienzle (1932–2010).
Retired from Springs Industries, was of the Catholic faith, and served in the U.S. Marines in WW II.
Survivors also include his daughters, Gina Shrader (David) and Charlene Kate Martin; sons, John Elliotte Martin, III (Sarah) and Scott Clement Martin (Melissa); and eight grandchildren.
Also predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Edward Kienzle (1927–2000) and Vincent Kienzle (1928–1929).
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, with Father Jim Crowley and Rev. Bill Harris officiating; burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials could be made to Interim Hospice, Spartanburg, SC.
