Thomas was born June 13, 1928 in Algiers, Indiana to Morgan Thomas and Christine McGregor Engleman.
He was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Boonville, Indiana.
He served as a medic during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and worked at Schnacke Manufacturing, Burch Plow Works and retired from Warrick Co. School Corp.
Thomas was a member of Boonville VFW Post #3418, St. Vincent de Paul and K of C.
He enjoyed singing and cantoring in the choir at St. Clement Catholic Church.
Thomas was an avid gardener and photographer and enjoyed traveling and playing cards.
Surviving Thomas are his wife of 57 years, Charlene (May) Engleman; children, Steve (Kala) Engleman of Texas, Karen (Duane) Mann of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, Mike (Cindy) Engleman of Evansville, Pat (Michelle) Engleman of Boonville, Marti (Tim) Lancaster of Evansville, Sarah (Steve) Reed of Maryland, Eric (Carol) Engleman of New York, fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Saturday, July 30 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Boonville.
Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services. Friends may call Friday 2-8PM at Koehler Funeral Home-Perigo Chapel, 7022 Heim Road, Chandler, Indiana and Saturday 9AM until funeral mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boonville VFW Post #3418 or to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
