Mary Francis Brookreson, 82, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011, in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends is from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Elmwood Funeral Home. Funeral service, with Rev Jeff Hatcher officiating, is at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, with burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mary was born to Beaulah Collins and William Henry Bozarth on April 30, 1929. Mary grew up in the Wylie area and graduated from Wylie High School. She married the love of her life, Wayne Toney Brookreson, in 1949. She was a librarian at Abilene Public Library, then at Mary Meek School of Nursing where she later retired in 1985.
Survivors include her husband, of 62 years, Toney; her daughters, Toni Willoughby and husband Samuel of Eros, LA and Susan Centilli and husband David of Lewisville, TX; grandchildren, Shara Gardner, Marissa Boyd, and Kayla Centilli; great-grandchildren, Ross, Kaleb, Alanna, Logan, and Brady Gardner, and Madelynn Boyd; one sister, Rena Richardson; three brothers, Bill, Ray, and David Bozarth.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
