David E. Brown, 84, of Dongola, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home.
He was born on April 15, 1927 in Dongola the son of Everett Edwin and Rosa Edith (Kesler) Brown. He married Leona Aden on December 24, 1950. She survives him.
David was a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved farming and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; 2 sons, Charles (Sharon) Brown of Dongola and Dan (Cindy) Brown of Allerton; 2 daughters, Earlene (Lindell) Croft of Vienna and Cathy Wilson of Dongola; 5 grandchildren, Amanda (James) McClellan, Greg Brown, Christopher Brown, Thaddeus (Kim) Croft and Tori (Aaron) Aul; 1 great-grandson, Noah McClellan; 3 sisters-in-law, Verna Aden of Marion, Ida Mae Aden of Anna and Martha Brown of Dongola; 2 brothers-in-law, Dare Aden of Dongola and Allen (Janet) Aden of Loganville, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, James Wilson, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 9:00-11:00AM at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00AM at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Dare Aden officiating. Interment will follow in Meisenheimer Cemetery.
