Suggested edit: Edwardsville Intelligencer, 14 March 1958, under Worden. Fred R. Deming, 88, of Girard, died Tuesday morning March 11 at 11:30 at Miller Nursing Home in Virden after an illness of several weeks. He retired from farming in 1918 and had resided in Girard since then.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Della Long, of Waggoner; three sons, Fred of Beardstown, Donald of Springfield and Evertt of Galesburg, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Long of Canton; 2 brothers, Sed Deming of Worden and Lee Deming of Litchfield; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral service was held Friday in Girard.
