Bud Bonner (my maternal grandfather) was a farmer who drove a produce truck on country highways between Atlanta, Georgia, and Tampa, Florida. He was also a regionally-famous gospel singer who was always in demand, as he had a "cathedral palate" and could sing any of the four parts in a quartet.
