Familysearch.org death record:
Name: Grace E. Lagerquist
Burial Place: Brainard, Minn.
Death Date: 26 Jun 1903
Death Place: W. Sup., Douglas, Wis.
Age: 2
Birth Date: Oct 1900
Birthplace: Minn.
Father's Name: James Lagerquist
Father's Birthplace: Minn.
Mother's Name:
Mother's Birthplace: Neb.

Ethel Lagerquist, wife of Charles Lagerquist, died a week later on July 3, also in Superior. Her death record gives her birthplace as Nebraska. So Ethel seems to be the mother of Grace. They are buried side-by-side in the Lagerquist lot. So who is the father, James? Ethel's husband was Charles Arthur Lagerquist. But in the 1910 census he is Arthur J Lagerquist. Maybe the J is for James and that was used on Grace's death record? [Contributed by John Van Essen]

               DIED VERY SUDDENLY.

Four Year Old Baby of Mr. and Mrs.
   Arthur Lagerquist—Mother and Other
                     Baby Very Sick.

Almost before Art Lagerquist reached West Superior from this city, being called by a telegram stating that his baby was very sick, the baby died. This was Grace, the four year old girl, and she died of scarlet fever.
The remains of the little girl arrived in the city yesterday afternoon and were interred in Evergreen cemetery. They were accompanied by Arthur Lagerquist. The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. Richard Brown. Now Mrs. Lagerquist and the other baby are very low, and it is understood their recovery is doubtful.
A telegram from West Superior states that Mrs. Lagerquist has a very severe case of scarlet fever, and that she cannot survive. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, 29 June 1903) [Contributed by John Van Essen]
