PADGETT, BETTY J. - age 78, of Jacksboro, passed away on Monday, September 30th, 2013, at UT Medical Center. She was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church in Lake City. She enjoyed cooking, yard work, watching Lady Vols basketball, and the "Duke Boys" basketball, singing, and playing piano. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lincoln and Nora (Ayers) Branam; husband, Bill Fowler; son, Leslie Fowler; brothers, Elzo, Lonzo, and JT Branam; sister, Loretta Parks; and granddaughter, Dakota Fowler. She is survived by her husband, Chester Padgett of Jacksboro; daughter, Debbie Fowler Roseberry and husband, David, Sr. of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Stephanie Adkins Curry of Atlanta, GA, Amber Roseberry of Brandon, MS, Andrew Fowler, Lauren Fowler, Krystal Smiddy all of Jacksboro, David Roseberry Jr., Shannon Barnett both of Atlanta, Alex Padgett, Kyle Sunday, and Nick Sunday all of Cincinnati; great granddaughter, Addison Gullion of Atlanta; five other step great grandchildren of Atlanta; one great-great grandson of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m., with Rev Charles Harness officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, September 4th, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Mt. Paran Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette is in charge of these arrangements.
