COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Ray T. Brady, of Cookeville, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wed., Sept. 22, at Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in White County.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Tues., Sept. 21, at Whitson Funeral Home, and from 9-10 a.m. on Wed., Sept. 22, at the church.

Mr. Brady died on Sun., Sept. 19, 1999, at NHC Healthcare.

He was born in Sparta to the late John Patrick and Eliza Jane Pope Brady. Mr. Brady was owner/operator of Ray Brady Motor Company for more than 50 years. He was a Mason, Upper Cumberland Shrine Club member, past member of Rotary Club, and a graduate of Cumberland University. Mr. Brady was a member of the Church of Christ.

His family includes his wife, Geneva Burgess Brady of Cookeville, several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.

Pallbearers will be David Neal Brady, Bobby and Jack Cunningham, Rhett Ridings, Harry Griffin, Roger Mills, Robert Weaver and Jerry Cass.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Kinslow, Bill Bilyeu, Ross Compton, Dale Pharris, James Murphy, Gary Whitehead, Davis Watts and Solon Mitchell.

Bro. Glen McDoniel and chaplain Robert Brady will officiate at the services.
