John "Mike" Kennedy, age 66, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2003, at the Royal Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Olathe, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Nativity of Mary, 10017 E. 36th Terr., Independence, MO; burial in Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where a Prayer Service will start at 7 p.m.

Mr. Kennedy was born June 13, 1936, in Butte, MT. He entered the Army in 1954, and participated in the Naval Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glennon Sr. and Margaret (Duffy) Kennedy; brother, Glennon Anthony Kenned Jr.; and a sister, Mary Louise Taylor. Survivors include two brothers, Tom Kennedy and Pat Kennedy, and sister-in-law, Becky (Kolb) Kennedy; three nieces, Cecilia, Ruth Ann and Margaret; and two nephews, Joseph and Keven.
