THE PARIS NEWS, 31 Jul 1932...

Mrs. Lane McCuistion, 83, life long resident of Lamar County and member of one of the pioneer families of the county, died at her home near Ashland at 9:00 o'clock Sunday morning.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 o'clock Monday afternoon at Shady Grove, the Rev. Luther Rees, assisted by the Rev. H.N. simmons, will conduct the services.

The daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Alexander Wright, she was born near Paris and had made her home in Paris and vicinity all her life. She married on 2 Aug 1868 and was the widow of the late Bedford Lane McCuistion of Paris, who was an uncle of Dr. L.P. McCuistion of the Sanitarium of Paris staff. Mrs. McCuistion had been a member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church since childhood.

Survivors are two daughters, Miss Constance McCuistion of Paris, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Levette Mattoon of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Miss Alice Wright and Mrs. Luther Rees of Paris; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
