Lawrence Raymond Sopchak, 67, of Rosenberg, Texas, was born August 11, 1943 in Richmond, Texas, to Raymond and Hattie (Rychlik) Sopchak.

He passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Rosenberg.

Lawrence was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond. As a young man, he started working in the grocery business. He then worked as a route salesman for Mrs. Baird's Bakeries for 22 years. He ended his working career delivering parts for Davis Bros. Carquest.

Above all, Lawrence loved his family. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He will live on in our hearts forever.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Sopchak; parents, Raymond and Hattie Sopchak; and sister, Donna (Sopchak) Todd.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce (Hedt) Sopchak; daughters, Renee Couch and husband, Eric and Rita Sosebee and husband, Gus; five grandchildren; brothers, Roy Sopchak and wife, Alice and Wesley Sopchak and wife, Debbie; sisters, Barbara Jurek and husband, Ernest, Delores Means and Gloria Janczak and husband, Marvin; numerous nieces and nephews, close neighbors and friends.

Burial: Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg, Texas
