At 18 years old, Susannah married James C. Trimble on May 10th 1845 in Louisville, Georgia at Ebenezer A.R.P. This union had four known children:
William Emette (1847-1859)
Mary Alice (1849-1901)
Joseph Lowry (1850-1851)
Eliza "Lilly" (1853-1895)
Death Notice:
It is a very rare occurrence that we have a double burial in Due West. This occurs this evening (Tuesday) at the hour of 3:30 o'clock. The funeral exercises of Mr. J.W. Bonner and Mrs. Trimble take place in the A.R.P. church. Revs. D.G. Caldwell, Dr. W.L. Pressly and W.M. Grier will make remarks. One of the deacons tells us that both died of apoplexy...Mrs. Trimble died at the home of Mrs. Lowry on Monday morning at 6 o'clock. She had been in feeble health for several months and came here for a change in hope that she might improve. She was a sister of Rev. J. A. Lowry and the mother-in-law of Rev. A. L. Patterson of Mt. Carmel.
