Sheboygan Press, Tues. June 27, 2000, p. 2:3. Howard E. Blanck, 66, of W1754 Kiel Rd., New Holstein (St. Anna),d died unexpectedly, Sunday morning, June 25, 200 at his home. Born Aug. 18, 1933 in St. Anna, Howard was a son of the late Benjamin and Alvina Schoenborn Blanck. He attended St. Ann Grade School and New Holstein High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On Oct. 26, 1957, he married Patricia Schmitz at St. Mary Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 1994. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna. Survivors include three daughters, Kay (Jim) Grott and their children, Kellen and Kayla, Linda (Bob) Draeger and their children, Anna, Amy, Sarah and Elizabeth and Pam (Dale) Gifford and their child, Jesse, all of rural New Holstein. He is further survived by a special friend, Rosetta Kraus of Mt. Calvary, one sister, Luella (Donald) Vorpahl of Kiel and brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Black. A funeral mass will be held at 7 p.m. Wed. June 28, 2000 at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna with the Rev. Donald Hmircik officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home in Kiel on Wednesday from 3 to 6:30 p.m. when brief family rites will be held. A memorial has been established in his name.
