Married on June 9, 1867 in Hall Co, GA to Sanford Taylor Pirkle being the third child of Andrew Jackson Pirkle of GA and Nancy Cooper of GA. Sanford was born May 21, 1849 Hall Co., GA and died March 19, 1926 Enterprise, Coffee Co., Alabama.

After her husband left and moved to South Georgia, Vianna raised her 6 children in Hall County with the help and support of her parents and family.
In her later years of life, Vianna mostly lived with her youngest daughter, Nancy Martin, but would take numerous trips to her other children's home for an extended visit. On these visits she would always travel with her trunk and rocking chair.
Vianna died Feb. 24, 1926 in Doraville, Gwinnett Co., GA and is buried in the J. T. O. Beard Family Cemetery, a small cemetery located at 6690 Buford Hwy. NE, Atlanta, GA behind once known Bethel Baptist Church organized August 11, 1869 with James Travis Owens Beard as one of its charter members. The church has changed ownership several times since 1869. Cemetery's locked gated entrance is located on Bruce St. between Susan Lane & Oak St.
May 31, 1997, a marker was placed on the grave of Vianna A. Hawkins. Present were several of her great grandchildren, John William Ford, Farling Osborne Ford, Henry Lee Ford, Marilyn Miller, great great grandchildren, DeJean Miller Melton & Stacy Jo Miller Johnson, great great great grandchildren, William Robert, Cherokee Lili Louise & Cheyenne Emily Rose Johnson and Miller's family Brown cousin Janice Irvin Still. Marker was purchased by the children of Ruth Pauline Pirkle McKeown and Lillie Jean Pirkle Miller. The three Ford brothers picked the marker up from the monument company and placed it on the grave.
