Ed was born in Wisconsin. He moved to Mitchell SD where he met his wife Katherine Talbot. They were married on the 5th of Nov., 1943. While they lived in Mitchell he owned the South Side Market with his brother in law Spencer Brudvig. He also worked as a meat inspector. He and Kay moved to Fremont about 1956, he worked as a meat inspector for Hormel and she worked for Campbell's Soup. When they retired they moved back to South Dakota, building a house in Mt. Vernon to be close to family. Kay and Eddie had no children but lots of nieces and nephews who had great fun spending time with them at Lake Mitchell, Fremont, Neb. and Mt. Vernon, SD.
