Canton- Harry "Roy" Aldrich 76, of Canton, died Monday in his home.
Mr. Aldrich was born April 21, 1913, in rural Colton. He worked on a ranch in Livingston, Mont., before marrying Caroline Utesch on Jan 9, 1947, in LeMars, Iowa. They farmed near Humboldt, retiring in 1974. In 1975 they moved to Canton, where he worked for the Army National Guard for nine years.
He was a member of Grand Valley Lutheran Church, rural Canton.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Goodmanson, Sioux Falls; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 10:30 am.m Thursday at the Grand Valley Lutheran Church south of Canton with burial at l p.m. in the Hartford Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon today in Miler Funderal Home in Sioux Falls. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
