Mildred was born on December 28, 1914 in Cadillac to Alfred and Anna (Johnson) Fagerman. She married Walter K. Anderson in 1935 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1962.
Mildred had been employed as a Deputy County Clerk for Wexford County and retired in 1982. She had also served on the Wexford County Jury Commission and retired from that in 2010. She was a long-term member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac where she participated in stitchery, altar guild, women's guild, food coordinator, and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors include her children, Raymond Anderson and Roger Anderson, both of Cadillac, and Susan (Martin) Imhof of Brighton; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Alfreda Abbott of Cadillac.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a daughter, Patricia Ringler; a son, Richard Anderson and a grandson, Alan Anderson and her five brothers, Carl, Milburn, and Raymond Fagerman, and Theodore and Lawrence Marklund.
Visitation: Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
Funeral Services: Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac with Pastor Philip Nordstrand officiating.
Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac
