HURRICANE [Putnam Co.]—J. Cephas Alford, 73, of Clymers Creek, Putnam County, died Friday [August 29] in Thomas Memorial Hospital. He was a retired steelworker and farmer.
Surviving: wife, Elcie Dalton Alford; sons, LeRoy and Irland, both of Hurricane; brothers, Herman, Lonnie and Bill, all of Hurricane; sisters, Mrs. Angle Sowards, Mrs. Bosta Willis, Mrs. Virginia Curry, all of Huntington; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Allen Funeral Home, in Hurricane.... Burial will be in the Alford Cemetery, in Clymers Creek....
