Oldest stone in this little family cemetery. His wife's stone was adjacent to his. The monument was broken into several pieces and was reassembled for the photo.

Suggested edit: Just a FYI. Stokes County didn't exist until about 1777. I think, so this birth would be in either Surry County (created in 1771) or Rowan County from which Surry Co. was created.
