Was born in Doddridge Co., WV. Floyd enlisted on October 28, 1861 in the Union Army-Co. B of the 6th Reg. Infantry at the age of 22 years. He served as a private and was discharged in 1864. He married Elizabeth Jane Goldsborough November 8, 1863. Together they had 6 children; John,Loyd,Grant,Lonnie,Nettie,and Jane.He died of a cerebrel hemorrhage. His wife Elizabeth preceeded him in death in 1913.
