Mr.John Russell Brock, age 68, a resident of 1308 Lincoln, DeFuniak Springs, died early Sunday mornig in a DeFuniak Springs hospital. Mr. Brock wa a native of Santa Rosa County and had been a resident of DeFuniak Springs for the past 5 years. He was a retired employee of the Farmbest Dairy Co. He is a member of the First Assembly of God Church, 1211 Van Buren Ave., DeFuniak Springs.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annie Lee Brock of DeFuniak Springs; his step mother Alice Brock of Pace; one son John Rufus Brock of Freeport; two step-sons, Charles Edward Parmely of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Gaston Monroe Parmely of Pensacola; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lila Flowers of Pensacola, and Mrs. Jessie McNeil of Molino, Florida; one sister, Mrs.Ella Cardwell of Pensacola; two half sisters, Mrs.Lee Nichols, and Mrs.Dora Brown, both of Pensacola; one half-brother Clyde Brock of Pensacola; and five grand children.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the First Assembly of God Church, 1211 Van Buren Avenue, with Rev. Charles Carroll officiating. Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery. Clary Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
