Drue was born Aug. 13, 1916, in Richland, Mo. a son of the late Ida (McMillan) and Otto W. Anderson. On March 6, 1943, he was united in marriage to Edna Coffman in Altus, Ok. He married Ruth Ridenhour, March 1, 2006, in Owensville. A decorated veteran of the Army Air Corp, he was a flight instructor and pilot during WWII. He worked 28 years in the University of Missouri Extension Division and was County Extension Agent in Gasconade County from 1952-1973. He had served as deacon and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Owensville. He was also a member of VFW Post 6133.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Edna Coffman Anderson and two sisters, Freida Lacaz and Willene Monda.
His survivors include his wife, Ruth Ridenhour Anderson; his children, Elaine Azerolo and husband Bob of Warrenton, Jane Busch and husband Lowell of Alexandria, La., Bill Anderson and wife Ann of Humble, Texas, Donna Oglesby of Bolivar and Charles Anderson and wife Cheri of Bowling Green, Ky; his step children, Ronnie Ridenhour and wife Pam of St. Peters, Roy Ridenhour and wife Joyce of Owensville and Greg Ridenhour of Owensville; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
