Our beloved Cheryel was born on November 16, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Gloria and Claude Johnston. She moved to Globe at age 12 with her family and then in her teens moved to Phoenix where she spent most of her life. She worked for Motorola until her retirement in 2008. During the last years of her life, she moved back to Globe to be near family. Cheryel devoted her life to raising her daughter, Melissa, and spending time with her family.

She was a very loving and giving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved playing games, cooking, doing crafts, vacationing and watching old movies with her family. She will be remembered for her generous and happy spirit, her sense of humor and her devotion and love of family and her faith.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa Saluhovic of Germany, her sisters: Claudia Billingsley and Linda Ramos, her brother William Wall, her grandson Zekerijah.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 22, 2011 @ 9:00 A.M. @ Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church - Miami, AZ Followed by Rosary at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian burial will start @ 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery.
