"Victor" Witte and his wife, Anna Marie Hagedorn Witte, emigrated to the United States via Galveston, Teaxas in 1850 with Anna's brother Ferdinand Hagellom and also two of Anna and Victor's children, Mary and Hellen. Anna's parents and more of Anna's family arrived in Texas in 1853. Most settled on land in Washington County, Texas.
