Born Nov. 14, 1919, in Chicago, to Patrick and Eva (nee Ruthermal) Kenney, she died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center of McHenry.
Formerly of Wheeling for 35 years, Mrs. Barthule was a resident of McHenry for the past seven years. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Tig Industries of Wheeling as a secretary for 20 years.
Surviving are her children, Debra Dan) Gundlach of McHenry, John E.(Barbara) Evenson of Palm Springs, Calif., and Kevin (Linda) Barthule of Broomfield, Colo.; eight grandchildren;
and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald (Frances) Kenney of Park Ridge; and
daughter-in-law, Darlene Curtiss of Winter, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alexander Barthule, in 1992; son, Russell Barthule, in 1985; and sister, Lenora Hardenstein, in 1992.
