Sutton resident Harold N. Griess, 82 died Wednesday,
September 22,2010, at the Sutton Community Home in Sutton, NE. Services were 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 24,
2010, at Sutton Memorial Chapel with the Free German
Reformed Salem Church Elders officiating.
Interment will be at the Free German Reformed Salem Church Cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
Harold was born July 11, 1928, to Nathaniel and Clara
(Huber) Griess in Clay County, NE. He attended District #66
school until the 8th grade.
On October 3, 1957, he married Lorena Griess in Clay Center,
NE. Harold went back to school at Lincoln School of Commerce
where he completed his GED.
He was employed with Jack & Jill grocery store in Sutton for
over 20 years until the store closed and later was employed
with Brown's Thrift Store in Sutton until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Lorena of Sutton, NE; brothers
Tom N. and wife Marion Griess of Sutton, NE; Curt N. and wife Anna Marie Griess of Sutton, NE; sister Leola and husband Tom Nuss of Sutton, NE and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-niece
Shannon Griess.
