MRS. ILA JONES
Clyde – Mrs. Ila Mae Jones, 55, of 1442 Vogel in Abilene, a former Clyde resident, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dyess Air Force Base Hospital after a long illness. Services were to be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde.
O. B. Proctor, Church of Christ minister from Abilene, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Clyde Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born Ila Mae Holder July 25, 1919, in Valliant, Okla. She married James Allen Reiger May 17, 1945, in San Antonio. He died July 10, 1963.
She married Bruce M. Jones Nov. 6, 1974, in Abilene. She had lived in the Abilene vicinity most of her life and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are her husband; five sisters, Mrs. C. C. Maxwell of Abilene, Mrs. Jewel Green of Merkel, Mrs. Joe Lewis of Hampton, Va., Mrs. M. A. Gleghorn of Snyder and Mrs. Charlie Lauw of Clyde; four brothers, Joe Holder of Abilene, W. C. Holder of Snyder, Glen Holder of San Jose, Calif., and C. A. Holder of Merkel; her stepmother, Mrs. Grace Holder of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Pallbearers will be Charnel McWhorter, Hubert Hansford, Dale Owens, Ted Carpenter, Eston Shellnutt and Tommy King.
