Hazel Irene Jackson was born December 27, 1931, at Paonia CO to Lester V. and Myrtle L. (Sanford) Miller and passed away January 6, 2010, at the age of 78. She moved to the Reydon Community OK with her family where she graduated from Reydon High School. Hazel married Thomas Leon Jackson on December 9, 1950. They lived in several places around the world following Leon's military career. After his discharge, they lived in Reydon OK and Oklahoma City OK before moving to Elk City OK in 1982 where they lived since. Hazel graduated from beauty school and was a hairdresser until her retirement in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband Leon Jackson of the Elk City home; children Larry Jackson and wife Linda of Raleigh NC, Nancy Alford and husband Ocie of Norman OK, Deanna Brey of Norman, Judy Wright and husband Sonny of Canute OK; grandchildren Sherisse Thomas, Candace Leonard, Thomas Brey, China Beals, Joshua Jackson, and Michael Beals; great-grandchildren Lauren Grybowski, Kiley Grybowski, Hayden Hostetter, Slay McLemore, Madlyn Brey, Kason McLemore; and sisters Erma Rainey and husband Floyd of Elk City, and Joan Martinez of Springhill FL.
