Clarence Benjamin Bishop, 76, of 518 Highland Ave., Colonial Heights, died last night at 7p.m. in the Petersburg General Hospital after a long period of declining health.

Mr. Bishop was a native of Prince George County, but had made his home in Colonial Heights and Chesterfield County for 35 years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Nettie Warthan Bishop, and six daughters: Mrs. R.D. Smith of Colonial Heights; Mrs. Pauline Hargrave of Colonial Heights; Mrs. E. E. Mayes of Raleigh, NC; Mrs. L. E. Scarborough, of Prince George County; Mrs. C. H. Angel of College Park, MD; and Mrs. John Longhridge of Colonial Heights; one sister, Mrs. Mary Warthan of Prince George, 12 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. inthe chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, Colonial Heights. The Rev. D. L. Ward, Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Rev. O. W. Patterson, former pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Cemetery.
