Illness Claims J. C. Jacobs, 63
John Charles Jacobs, 63, of 712 Pennsylvania Ave., died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul Lewis of 507 1/2 Capitol St. He died after a short illness.

Mr. Jacobs was born April 10, 1893, a son of the late John and Sally Jacobs and was a lifelong resident of Charleston. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two other daughters, Mrs. Ruth Walker and Mrs. Nina Smith of Charleston; three sons, Bernard and Eugene D. of Charleston and Ray K. of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Della Erwin and Miss Helen Jacobs of Columbia, S.C.; one brother, Ira Jacobs of Charleston; and 16 grandchildren.

The body is at Bartlett Funeral Home.
