Betty was born November 7, 1928 in the Reynoldsville Community of Union County, IL. She was the daughter of Charleton Stark and Elizabeth Ethel (Hammer) Stark.
Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth Rudolph Eudy on August 24, 1945 in Union County, IL. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1968. She later was united in marriage to Arthur Edward Hill on March 31, 1977 in Marion, IL. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1985.
Betty had worked on the assembly line at Florsheim Shoe Company in Anna, IL.
She had also worked in Restaurants as cook and a waitress.
Betty was a member of the Simpson Baptist Church. She enjoyed all types of hand crafts.
Betty is survived by: 2 Sons: Ken & Margo Eudy of Gadsden, TN; Wane & Sherry Eudy of Papillion, NB; 2 Daughters: Eunice & Danny Mitchell of Denton, TX; Sheila & Patrick Mercer of Denton, TX. A Sister: Pauline Duke of Murphysboro, IL; a Daughter in Law: Tammy Eudy of Vienna, IL. 8 Grandchildren: Sarah Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Aaron Eudy, Andrew Eudy & Katie Eudy, Ashley & Sean O'Neil, Jake Eudy & Chastity Eudy. 2 Great Grandchildren: Adeline O'Neil and Caden Lee.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Betty was preceded in death by a Son Melvin Eudy; a Brother- in- Law Rev. Jim Duke. A Brother & Sister-in-Law Ivan & Gladys Stark.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL.
Burial will be in the Jonesboro City Cemetery in Jonesboro, IL.
Friends may call after 6 PM Friday evening at the Bailey Funeral Home.
