Well Known Stockwell Citizen Died Quite Suddenly
Lewis Osborn, one of the best known men in Lauramie township, died very suddenly yesterday at Stockwell. Mr Osborn had gone to the home of John C Bartholomew to assist that gentleman in killing some hogs. He was seized by illness while at work, and went into the barn to lie down. Dr G W Thompson was called, but Mr Osborn was dead before the physician arrived. His sudden demise is attributed to heart trouble. The deceased was well and favorably known, and was 66 years old. There was no man in Lauramie township who possessed more friends, and his death is sincerely regretted. Mr Osborn leaves a widow and the following children: Mrs Bessie App and Benjamin D Osborn of Crane; Mrs Mattie Hartman of Frankfort, and Mrs Nellie Lee of Indianapolis. He had a brother living at Indianapolis, and was a brother to Mrs Tillie Storms of Clark’s Hill, and Mrs William Zufall of this city. He was an uncle of the late Thomas C McKee, and his son Ben was at one time employed as turnkey at the county jail.
