Joe C. Heeter

A funeral will be held Friday for Joe C. Heeter, 76, a former Washougal resident. He died Dec. 21, 1996, in Milwaukie, Ore.

Heeter was born April 29, 1920 in Scobey, Mont., and moved to Boring, Ore., 30 years ago from Washougal. He was a retired superintendant of the foundation branch for Pendleton Woolen Mills in Milwaukie. He was also a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Gladstone, Ore.

He is survived by his son, Allen Heeter of Bellevue, Wash.; daughter, Carol A. Heeter of Milwaukie; brothers, Fred Heeter of Toledo, Ore., George Heeter of Sweet Home, Ore., and Bud Heeter of Newport, Ore,; sisters, Ruth Berg of Escondido, Calif., and Ardytl Dayley of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will be at Camas Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Hopewell House in care of Ecumenical Ministeries of Oregon.
